Qian Mu, is one of the most influential master of Chinese classics culture in the 20 thecentury and the most important guardian who is not move or retreat in Chinese traditionalculture. He focused on using the methods which is combination of philosophical thinking andhistorical investigation to study the culture, which builts its own unique system of culturalphilosophy." The thesis after blind in the old age" is a book with total 90 articles, including three parts.The first part, the middle part and the last one. The first part of the book described the naturaland universe, the middle part is about politics and social humanities, and the last one is aboutthe moral behavior culture. Even though each article takes one meaning and consistentlycompatible, but the purpose is to discuss the differences and similarities between Chinese andWestern traditional culture.After the review of the author’s life, he summarized all the learning and science that hestudied in his life to write this book, it maybe said is the summary of the similarities anddifferences between Chinese and western culture that is made by the author in his old age, notonly such, the book is regarded by academia as the most important part of Qian Mu’s newthought of Confucianism. So, we can further grasp cultural philosophy thoughts of Qian Muand understanding more clearly of his idea of the culture between Chinese and western by depthstudying and reading of the book "blind’. Qian Mu’s culture is a big population in the process ofthe human’s long history by the formation of the life value as the research object of knowledge,it is a kind of humane for this culture. In order to expatiate on the national character of Chineseculture, Qian Mu studied and compared Chinese and Western culture. In his eyes, the culture isformation and development in the course of the history, so we can say the culture and thehistory is together and one. The reason of Qian Mu’s thinking that it is very differentbetween the Chinese culture and Western culture, is he studyed and campared the economiy,politics and spirit between Chinese and Western country and then he got the inclusion. Thisdifference is reflected in the western culture is the economic essence of extroversion typeculture, and Chinese culture is introversion culture which is based on moral essence. QianMuwei always think the pursuit of material the transition of the economic interests is not the absolute highest purpose in one’s life, adn the moral spirit is the ultimate meaning of life. So,in his view, Chinese traditional culture represents the human culture development prospects anddirection.Qian Mu, as a" contemporary Zhu Xi", "the last of ancient Chinese literature search masters "and reputation, Qian Mu devoted his life to the study of Chinese ancient academic and culture,he observed differences for the same. It aims to expound the Chinese culture inherentcharacteristics and the basic spirit, in other words, he compared the differences and the similarsbetween Chinese and wersten countries and then study western culture. Its foothold still falls inthe publicity the national character of Chinese culture, develop Chinese culture and tap uniqueChinese cultural value.
