Culture Importance In Teaching Chinese Abroad

Chinese culture is very important when teaching Chinese as a second language. On one hand, language is the carrier of culture; on the other hand, culture limits the language. Abroad, the importance, function, content and the way of teaching Chinese culture is very different from the Chinese way. At the same time, cultural exchange is a mutual process; we have to learn from other cultures to perfect the structure and the content of Chinese culture. Korean culture was influenced by Chinese culture in the past, and nowadays we can still find these traditional influences in Korean culture. We also have to learn environmental protection and culture exportation from Korea. Taking elementary schools, middle schools and high schools in Busan as examples, using the result of questionnaire suevey, I want to talk about the importance, function, content and the way of teaching Chinese culture abroad.
