This paper focuses on the relationship between the Qinzhou Literature and the regional culture. In other words, it wants to explore the geographical and cultural characteristics under the geographical and cultural horizons, what would the Qinzhou literature presented by the combined effects of factors of physical and human geography. If seeking for the generalities of "culture", a comprehensive introduction should be conducted on astronomy, geography, cultural history, cultural change, customs and folk scenery etc.. what I reallly concern is the culture and literature section, instead of all of Qinzhou regional culture. This means that perhaps some of the content and features will Qinzhou in the regional culture are missing in this thesis, such as Aboriginal culture in Qinzhou, Nixingtao culture, history, heroes culture as well as folk culture. These content and features are of very significant value respectively, however, in this article, the author is only going to discuss the Qinzhou contemporary literature and its related culture. For an overall classification and Analysis of Qinzhou contemporary literature, two characteristics, namely marine culture and frontier culture, are picked out as the entering point. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper discussed three chapters. The first chapter elaborates Qinzhou regional cultures and the evolution of its contemporary writers. Marine culture and frontier culture are the main components of Qinzhou regional cultures. And the most prominent properties of Qinzhou marine culture are commercially open, multi-compatible, and adventurous. Different from the Northern frontier cultures which are mainly about hunting, farming, and the gathering industry, the characteristics of Qinzhou frontier cultures are closed, original, anti-traditional, and pugnacious. What makes Qinzhou special is that it is both a coastal and border city. The styles and characters of Qinzhou literary are affected by the interaction of maritime cultures and frontier cultures, which is the strong internal drive of the development of Qinzhou contemporary literature, and the important component of Qinzhou contemporary writers’latent cultural-psychological structure as well. With the collision of a variety of cultural and ideological trends, Qinzhou contemporary writers face new cultural choices. Different influences of marine cultures and frontier cultures could be shown in the different characteristics of the literature in the following three stages:the1950s to the1970s, the late1970s to the late1980s, and1990s.The second chapter is mainly about the geographical features of the Qinzhou writers and their works. First, based on the two entry points of the " ocean imagery " and " living on the frontiers image" to look for the Qinzhou writers’works, performance, implied marine culture and frontier culture:The Qinzhou writers’ocean imagery is roughly divided into the Guangxi North Bay marine scenery, scenery and customs; customs such as "images and symbols as a-writer of emotion and life" mental imagery "; with a keen eye, Qinzhou writers capture the complexity of human nature in the confrontation and the impact of various cultures in Qinzhou, a small town of the southern border. On the one hand, the negative effect of modern civilization has lead to a phenomenon of dislocation in the material and the spiritual contradictions among the farmers in the process of urbanization. On the other hand, the originality in the frontier becomes the final hotbed for keeping pure humanity, and we feel the warmth of humanity in the frontier from the indomitable image of women. Second, exploring the unique language of the writers under the influence of marine culture and frontier culture:the form of the mixed situation with different cultures and the communication of different languages is related with the coastal location of Qinzhou. On the one hand, the various ethnic groups bring the features of their dialects into the language of Qinzhou, and gradually make them fixed, local and regional after absorbing various featured from different dialects. On the other hand, separated by mountains and rivers with the outside world, Qinzhou tends to be close and conservative, as a result, the change of Qinzhou dialects in structure and phonetics is not evident, so that Qinzhou literary language distinguishes itself with the works of the northern writers with its unique style. The third chapter discusses the limitations and prospects for development of the Qinzhou geographical literature. Qinzhou marine literature mainly concentrates on the superficial description of landscapes, the recent shallow exploration, or the expression of appreciating the seas, without wide and deep descriptions. It has no writings with artistic penetration and shocking. Also the deep cultural connotation of the ocean is presented. Qinzhou literature advocates the regional and cultural spirit of "reality". It lacks a deep sense of the suffering, and has no writings of meditation and appreciation. What’s more, it fails to deeply explore the public awareness in the worldly aesthetic pursuit of the literature. Qinzhou contemporary writers excessively attach to the sense of security and belonging provided by the geographical cultures, which is the limitation of the Qinzhou geographical literature. The author of this paper pays attention to the constraints of the regional culture in Qinzhou literature and tries to put forward strategies to transcend this limitation to achieve a new leap of Qinzhou literature.
