Yan is the earliest and longest state,in the pre-Qin period.With the continuous change of Yan territory,it were formed some stable cultural elements,which called Yan culture.Yan culture originated from the primitive society,rose in the early Western Zhou Dynasty,in the Western Zhou Dynasty in the late spring and Autumn Period,disappeared from the Western Zhou Dynasty to the late Chunqiu period,and flourished again.With the Qin Dynasty annihilatting the other six countries,Yan Dynasty is perished,while Yan culture did not disappear.It turned into three kinds of different culture,which are capital culture of Beijing,security culture of Tianjin,auxiliary culture of Hebei.For a long time,Yan culture was regarded as a diversity and edge cultural,which is long history and remote.Yan culture is divided into two kinds of common culture and high culture.The former is derived from the Zhou culture and local culture,the other one is originates in Zhou Culture.Many cultures live together and mutually connected,so that there were developed extensive bronze industry,advanced iron smelting technology,and developed water project.There are also distinctive local systems,for example bureaucratic system,personnel system,and local system.People have a rich entertainment life,simple custom and primitive religious belief.Under the influence of natural and social factors,Yan culture has two sides.One is positive just like loyalty and unity.The other is negative,like reckless and conservative.Yan culture has an important historical position and contemporary value,Yan culture synthesized Ji cultureand with zhao culture,maintain the cultural reproduction and interaction.Absorbing the negative lessons of Yan culture,carrying forward our splendid national culture,is good for our social development.In the context of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration,heritage and development of the culture of Yan has the necessity and feasibility.We should use a historical perspective and the spirit of the times to better retention,promotion and transmission of outstanding Chinese cultural,but take the essence and discard the dross.
