This is a translation project report on Body Language in the Work Place byAllan and Barbara Pease. The different body languages used in different work placesto achieve the best effects and many an updated tips are the main contents of thesource text. The main contents of this translation report are divided into four parts.Part one is translation project report description, including project background,objectives, significance and the structure of report. Part two is the background of thesource text, including author introduction, the edition, main contents and the analysisof source text. Body languages in the interview, handshaking and presentation are themain contents of the source text, and at the same time, the source text also gives acomparison of what is good and bad. Part three discusses the difficulties in translationand the adopted translation methods, including the preparation before the translation,the problems in the translation and the difficulties and the methods. Amid translation,there are many specialized terminology and slangs are the difficulties, especially thetranslation of the specialized terminology is more difficult. The report adoptstranslation methods such as literal translation and free translation, amplification andomission. Part four is about the lessons, implications and unsolved problems in thetranslation project: we should master a good knowledge of the two languages, a goodunderstand of the source text is very important, etc.
