The Theme Poster Design Of Disaster Research

Disaster posters, one kind of public service posters, not only has the role of advocacy, education, guidance as well as the public service posters have, but also has its own special social function,,that is disaster resistance and disaster relief, recovery and reconstruction; preventing conflict, resolving crisis; maintaining stability of the society, building a harmonic society and so on. The purpose of doing research on disaster posters is to coalescing national strength, advocating saving the crisis and distressing the poor, providing service for disaster resistance and disaster relief. Based on the theory of sociology, from the perspective view of visual communication, this paper did research on disaster posters and investigate the visual initiative role of disaster posters when facing disasters, furthermore to realize its social function and present visual power in the disaster.This paper is dived into five parts to clarify how to design disaster posters. The first part makes clear the research object of disaster posters design by give definition of disaster. The second part discusses the necessity of disaster posters design based on the theory of sociology. The Third part analyzes the role graphic elements plays in the design of disaster posters especially from the professional view of the graphic power. The fourth part discusses how text elements strengthen the visual power in disaster poster design. The fifth part reveals the social function of disaster posters in different stages of disaster. Through the discussion, with the discussion deeper and deeper, this paper clarify the social value of research on the design of disaster posters.
