Cultural identity focus on individual’s choose between different cultural groups. Migrant children transfer from rural to city, the difference between rural and city people will triggle their choose and attention on identity inevitablely. And the urban and rural culture conlict will cause their much pressure and trouble. Fortunately, individual’s identity of one cultural group will protect them exempt from negative influence. So the study on the cultural identity will be meaningful for the psychological adjustment of migrant children, especially under the condition of census register reformation.Based on this, the present study maked reference to the concept "bicultural identity integration (BII) "from those cross-cultural studies and taked questionnaires to explore cultural identity and its effect on their psychological adjustment among migrant children.Further more, the study refered to the paradigm of the culture-priming and used situation experiments to explore cultural identity and its effect on their psychological adjustment under four different group-cluture priming conditions. Through three parts of the research, we get main results as below:(1) The reliability of the Bicultural Identity Integration Scale-Version 1(BIIS-1) after translation and modification is high. So it is reliable to measure the BII of migrant children.(2) In general, migrant children identify their identities of rural and city mainly, thinking them as rural people, also city people. And they can integrate and coordinate these two identities well in daily life. But they didn’t show significant sex differences. And their BII were high for migrant children in Grade One, while Grade Two children were inclined to identify their city identity. (3) The total psychological adjustment of migrant children was well, with middle level on life satisfaction, although notablely lower than city children. But their positive affection were higher than city children, and lower than city children in negative emotion. In addition, girl students’positive affection were higher than those boys significantly. The levels of life satisfaction for Grade One were higer than Grade Two, other two dimentions showed no notable difference.(4) Census register played a role in cultural identity and psychological adjustment:rural registered children were inclined to the rural identity, while city registered children identified with city identity. And their BII level were notablely higher than those city registered children. In addition, the life satisfaction and positive affection of rural registered children were lower than city registered children, although there were no notable difference in negative emotion.(5) The flow time played a role in cultural identity and psychological adjustment:the time interval of half to one year is very important for their cultural identity and psychological adjustment in city. And their statuses will be better after they lived in city for more than three years.(6) The style of cultural identity and the level of BII influenced their psychological adjustment significantly among migrant children. It is more useful to their adjustment for those children who integrated rural identity with city identity well.(7) There was notable positive relationship among cultural identity、BII and their life satisfaction、positive affection. The cultural identity and BII could positively predicted both life satisfaction and positive affection, and the predictive power was 11.3%,12.4% and 19.4%,17.2% respectively. In addition, their BII was negative related with negative emotion, and the predictive power is 9.4%.(8) Under different group-culture priming conditions, migrant children also identify different identities. They can adjust their cultural identities according to different cultural conditions, especially the culture valence of these conditions. (9) Under group-culture priming conditions, the cultural identity of migrant children play a role in their psychological adjustment.Their life satisfaction is the most high who identify with their city identity under positive native culture. While those migrant children who are rural identity, their positive affection was higher than others significantly, also felt more negative emotion under negative cultural condition.
