During the May Fourth Movement, China’s classical Chinese suffered the violent impact of the alien ideology and culture, and began the transition to the new vernacular Chinese literature. Before this new writing style meeting its mature stage, the writer inclined to get inspiration through translating and introducing excellent foreign literature works so as to create their own style. One of the most representatives is children’s literature which is the opposite style in writing. Zhao Jingshen, the first publisher who focuses on translation of Andersen Fairy Tales in the new era, has been influenced by Andersen Fairy Tales very typically through his after writing works. This thesis will be divided into five sections to analyze the influence of Zhao Jingshen’s translation of Andersen Fairy Tales put on his children’s literature.The introduction is the review on several aspects of Zhao Jingshen’s academic study until now and leads to the main study contents of this thesis which is the key point of Zhao Jingshen’s study as well as the weak point which means to explore the relationship between Zhao’s children literature translation and creation from the Mediotranslatology angle. Through the analysis between Zhao Jingshen’s translation work Andersen Fairy Tales and original creation work The Children’s Fairy Tales, this thesis intends to demonstrate his translation opinions and features and makes further study on the influence of his translation work put on his original creation work.The first chapter, on the review of Zhao Jingshen’s translation, is mainly focused on Zhao Jingshen’s translation characteristic of Andersen Fairy Tales:vivid, popular and easily understood, suitable for universal access to foreign literature. In terms of writing material, Zhao Jingshen’s works are the combination of epochal characteristic, positive educational significance, familiar lives of children, and adult atmosphere. In terms of language art, Zhao Jingshen’s works are not only in line with the new expression literary language needs, but also through the philosophy of translation and literary aesthetic preference. So, all his works reflect a higher sense of its times and literary value.The second chapter regards Zhao Jing translation Andersen’s Fairy Tales work and The Children’s Fairy Tales as the example to explore the inspiration brought by his translation of Andersen’s Fairy Tales on contents thought and creative art, with the combination of the contemporary study results of Zhao Jingshen’s children literature translation.The third chapter starts from primary customs, primary faith, and other theories to outline the fairy tale theory translation of Zhao Jingshen. Then to investigate the influence put by his children literature translation theory on his children literature’s creation from three aspects:theme, topics and thoughts. In terms of his creation skills, taking Zhao Jingshen’s typical literary creation as the example to prove the influence of his foreign literature translation works put on his original literature creations.The last chapter is mainly on the evaluation of Zhao Jingshen’s translation of Andersen’s Fairy Tales and his original creations, and puts forwards several aspects needed to be penetrated in Zhao Jingshen’s translation and introduction.
