Chinese language teaching for Uygur students is an important part of China Chinese teaching. It has a long history since Uygur people learned Chinese language. In the ancient times many Uygur were familiar with the Chinese classics and history. Since the founding of new China, with large areas of Chinese language teaching, the old teaching ideas and methods have hampered the improvement of teaching quality. The new era of Chinese Teaching for Uygur students as a Foreign Language, has entered an important stage of a need for innovation. Positive to this point, Mr. Xu Tongqiang’s Zi-centered theory has a major impact in the field of Chinese language teaching.Chinese Zi-centered theory was built in the early’1990s, the doctrine pioneered by Chinese scholars, and it was soon to resonate in the foreign language teaching profession. At present a large number of scholars and teachers of Chinese advocate the implementation of the" Zi-centered theory "teaching. Chinese Teaching in this area we also look forward to the improvement of the quality and methods of Chinese teaching working under the guidance of the new linguistic theory, breaking the old teaching philosophy.To aim at the status that it is difficult to raise of the quality of Chinese teaching, In this st udy by means of tracing back to the history of Chinese language teaching, from which to identi fy problems, to analyze the causes and establish a theory of Zi-centered guidance for guidance to Chinese teaching, to set in line with Chinese pedagogy. Apart from the introduction and con clusion, the full text is divided into four parts:1an overview of the theory of Zi-based, the reas ons for the historical status of Chinese teaching for Uygur students.2Zi-based theory and Chin ese language teaching for Uygur students.3The theory of Zi-based overview of the discussion method theoretically paves the way of Chinese language teaching.4To recount the history of th e status of Chinese language teaching for Uygur students, to find the cause of problems by the analysis of the problem. In the second chapter of the word-based theory it makes comments an d summarizes the character-based theory core problem. In the third and the four part it is specif ically discussed in Chinese teaching for Uygur students how to apply Zi-centered theory to imp rove the teaching quality.
