ObjectiveBy means of investigation on current psychological stress of quasi-migrants at Danjiangkou Reservoir area of South-to-north water Diversion Project, this paper analyzes current situation of psychological stress of those will-be migrants and influencing factors of the stress so as to find out the psychologically high-risk group and provide basis for psychological stress interference for the quasi-migrants.MethodsWith the combination of document study and on-site investigation, this paper adopts on-site investigations using Quasi-migrants Investigation Table. Non-migrants Investigation Table and PSSG Table, followed by credibility and validity analysis, two-sample t test, variance analysis and multi-factor Logistic regression analysis with the help of SPSS13.0.Results1. Cronbach’s coefficient of the quasi-migrants obtained from PSSG is 0.765--0.872; the related coefficients of the total scale and the subscale are 0.830-0.833 and-0.173-0.212 respectively.2. The psychological stress factors (excluding positive dealing approach) and total score of quasi-migrants are high than those of non-migrants. The quasi-migrants get higher scores than non-migrants in factors like sex, age, education, profession, income, living events, positive mood experience, negative mood experience, negative dealing approach and get a higher total mark of psychosocial stress. The two groups of people have no difference in terms of factor of positive dealing approach. 3. The quasi-migrants vary in terms of psychological stress due to differences in living pressure in the recent half of a year, satisfaction degree of family annual income, understanding of new settlement and expectations about life after migration. There are no differences in psychological distress among the quasi-migrants who have differences in understanding of migration policy, implementation of migration policy and willingness of migration.ConclusionThe quasi-migrants have stronger psychological stress than non-migrants regardless of age, sex, profession, education and income. Those who have a lower income, satisfy with per capita family economic income, feel lighter living pressure than half of a year ago, understand the re-settlement and have a lower expectation about life show a stronger psychological stress reaction.
