On the one hand, Mencius inherited Confucius’thought, to restore theorder of Zhou dynasty as his responsibility; on the other hand, Mencius rejected thethought of Yang Zhu and Mocius, inherited Confucianism and carried out. So, hedirectly addressed the need for “do the right things in certain situations”,the thoughtof jing and quan has infiltrated into all aspects of the theory of Mencius’ philosophy. The thought of jing and quan balanced jing and quan, quan is based on jing, jing showhow quan work, jing shows in a particular time and space. They both are relative toeach other, and in the same time,in the complementary. This complementaryrelationship, with its “temperament theory”and “zhong dao”thought, commence in aspecific course of practice. The theory of human nature is relatively distinctive in Mencius’ philosophy, aswell as the fundamental basis of the “zhong dao” thought.
