A Research On The Tombs Of Northern Wei Dynasty Ping Cheng Era

TuoBaXianBei established the Northern Wei dynasty at Shengle in368years, moved the capital to Pingcheng in398years, moved the capital to Luoyang in494years, which were divided into Eastern Wei and Western Wei in534years. Northern Wei national power got improved during the Pingcheng era, which is an important period of Northern Wei Dynasty. There were found more abundant remains of the Pingcheng period of Northern Wei dynasty in Datong and its surrounding areas, and in the area of middle Inner-Mongolia. The main study subjects of this article is the tombs, in conjunction with other relics of the results, analysis of cultural factors in Pingcheng era of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and to explore the Social change of the Pingcheng era of the Northern Wei Dynasty.Part I:Preface.Overview the development of the Tuobaxianbei and the Northern Wei Dynasty, a brief introduction of the archaeological remains found of Northern Wei Pingcheng era, and describes the scope and purpose of this study.Part II:archaeological discoveries and research overview.Describe The tombs of Pingcheng era which were found in Datong and its surrounding areas, and in the area of middle Inner-Mongolia regions. Summary and analysis the previous research results and deficiencies.Part III:Classification and staging.The tombs are divided into five types. For the southern suburbs of Datong Northern Wei Dynasty tombs pottery’s type and staging as a standard to study the other tombs of the period of Northern Wei Ping Cheng era.
