Especially in China, the theme of animals and plants has rose to a certain height,becoming an independent theme, namely“Flower and Bird”, which has pure aesthetic function.As one of the most representative theme of China,“Flow and Bird”is the greatest expression ofChinese cultural philosophy and an art form which has surpassed the“theme”and is unique inart field of the world.Chinese image oil painting, a Chinese national characteristic oil painting form, is formedby Chinese oil painters through utilizing image theory in traditional Chinese aesthetics, waterand ink freehand brushwork in Chinese painting and combing modern abstract language ofWestern oil painting during continuous practice and exploration. Through times of discussionand thinking of Chinese artists and scholars, now Chinese image oil painting has become moreand more mature, and has made certain theoretic achievements, winning approval of artists andfavor of people worldwide. It seems like something we should be proud of, however, theachievements of Chinese image oil painting is only limited to painting of mountains, rivers andhuman which are the most, and few painters pay attention to“Flower and Bird”, another themeof Chinese theme.
