With the archeological excavation materials in Baoshan site of Chenggu, as well as the analysis on the typical objects unearthed, this paper rebuilt the pottery stages, discussed the developing stages and analysed the culture factors in Baoshan site, which tried to contribute to the Shang culture research in Hanzhong area. With the entry points of archeological culture exchanges in north and south, this paper also discussed the relationships of archeological culture exchange and interaction between Banshan site and other areas at the same time. It paid attentions to the culture status of Chengyang and Hanzhong areas in Xia and Shang period.There were five chapters in the paper.First Chapter, this chapter mainly introduced the geographic location, archeological excavation and academic research of Baoshan Site, and also summarized and rethought the questions in the research.Second Chapter, with the research methods of archeological typology and stratigrahpy,this chapter selected the typical pottery of fu cauldron, dou stem vessels, narrow bottom zun, li, and gui as the study objects, discussed their somatotypes, and summarized their evolution rules. This chapter divided Shang remains of Baoshan site into four terms and six stages, which started from superstratum period of erligang and continued to four terms of Yin ruins, or late.Third Chapter, this chapter analysed the culture factors of Shang remains in Baoshan site and found that during its forming process the Baoshan cultures were influenced by different culture factors of Xiajiang, Shang, and Sichuan Basin. Especially, they were affected more by Xiajiang culture factors. Baoshan culture was a archeological culture formed with the local cultures and had their own features.Fourth Chapter, with the Yangcheng bronze wares and objects unearthed in Baoshan site, this chapter discussed the culture exchanges and interactions among Baoshan cultures, Shang cultures in Guanzhong, and bronze cultures in Sichuan basin. Because of the similar of vessel shapes and time, Yangcheng bronze wares and Baoshan site should be the same culture remains.
