Comparison Of The Rice Worship Between The Zhuang-China And Lao-Laos

Language and religion are the essential elements or composition of arace. Religious similarities do not completely disappear with division ofthe race. Archaeological studies have proven that both Zhuang-China andthe Lao-Laos are age-old grain-cultivation races. Although geographicallythey are quite far away from each other, great religious similarities ongrain (unhusked rice)-worship and common cultural psychologicaldiathesis have been found through researches on archaeological evidence,myths and customs about grain cultivation of Zhuang and Lao.Furthermore, the two races share a lot of similarities on pronunciation ofbasic grain-cultivation vocabulary, nation origin myths and grain originmyths, which extremely deserve comparisons. This thesis will make aresearch of comparative study on the grain-worship of Zhuang and laofrom the perspective of folklore,anthropology,archaeology,riligion andmythology through literary data, field research,field visits,depicting,comparing,analyzing. The common traditional culture will besearched through similarities on religious beliefs and cultural psychology,based on which similarities, differences and reasons of grain-worship ofZhuang and Lao will be analyzed as well. Through grain-worship, a clearprocess which has included consanguinity to differentiation of Zhuangand Lao s will be presented with the help of similarities and differencesof religious beliefs and culture of Zhuang and Lao, and a new evidence ofthe fact that Zhuang and Lao have the same origin will be added. At thesame time we can see that cultural distances of the two races havebecome wider and wider because of culture differentiation of the tworaces.
