The modern hermeneutics Focus on the interaction between subject andobject, awakening of Interpreter’s subjective consciousness generated theinterpretation space of the text, thereby promoting the emergence of the modernphenomenon in the character interpretation,expressed as depth of excavation ofthe object subjectivity. The one hand, the excavation of the subjectivity makes thefigures getting rid of the characteristics of the previously rigid stiff, showing atendency of fullness and three-dimensional. On the other hand, the excavation ofthe subjectivity may damage the logic of the development of character which iscaused by the excessive interpretation. Under the vision of the modern Westernhermeneutics theory,character as the entry point, the modern interpretation of thefamous film adaptation as the object of the study, The author takes the deepeninterpretation of works for example to demonstrate and attempt to distinguishthem with the over-interpretation of works,aiming to explore the problem ofhow to not only go beyond the original, but also to prevent excessive in thefamous film adaptation. At the same time, basing on the combing of thedevelopment of Characters theory in Western Literary, the author takes Cao Cao,Cheng Ying, Diao Chan and other characters typical in the Classic adaptation asexamples to analyze and summarize the character changes before and afteradaptation, trying to explore the law on character development and changes in theadaptation of the famous film and television. Film as a narrative art, its charactersand themes, plot, style and other elements have a close relationship. The study ofthis topic can not only play a certain role in enlightening the specific adaptation ofpractice but also can achieve a theoretical inquiry from point to plane. Adaptationof the classics should grasp a reasonable scale,the adaptation should pay attentionto follow the continuity of the character development when exploring the humansubjectivity, avoiding single qualitative of the character which was caused byexcessive Interpretation, trying to achieve the beyond on the basis of original in the adaptation.
