On Yu Zheng-xie’s Textology

This thesis is consisted of introduction,four chapters and the conclusion,which aims toresearch Yu Zheng-xie’s textology.Introduction discusses the need and significance of subject selection,and outlines theresearch situation and presents innovations.The first chapter mainly introduces the life of Yu Zheng-xie and the academic originof Yu Zheng-xie’s textology. This paper thinks Yu Zheng-xie’s academic achievement islittle influenced by his teachers. Yu Zheng-xie successed because of the influence ofhuizhou’s regional culture and background and Qiangjia textology and leading by thesocial progress. In addition, Yao’s efforts and the personal experience should be anotherfactor that made Yu Zheng-xie successful. The second chapter summarizes Yu Zheng-xie’stextology achievements. Yu Zheng-xie’s textual achievements being broad and rich,thispaper just summarizes his achievements about phonology,collation,article-name andinstitution,history,frontier-reaseach.The third chapter summarizes the main methods ofYu’s textology, and proves that Yu can use all his methods skilled and flexibly. The fourthchapter attempts to analysis the textology ideology of Yu Zheng-xie. The mainperformances are "seeking truth from facts, keeping the authority alongside" and"following the times, studying for applying".Under the guidance of his textologyideology,his textology is distinctive among all the scholars of his times.Conclusion summarizes the results of this study,then try to explains what the role YuZheng-xie played at his times.
