Peer Status reflects others who in the peer group to the children’s acceptance and thefond of degree. This is also two dimensions of the social measurement investigation of peerstatus. The existence of a group will be status of peers, companion to the development ofchildren’s psychological the role of the peer status is as important as the role of peerrelationship and Peer Intercourse. In recent years, the empirical research is gradually increases,especially the empirical research.But the previous studies, use the Cross-sectional design, andthe span of age large try, so the studies results may not overall. The most researchers chooseurban teenagers rather than rural teenagers as researchers’objects. Junior middle schoolstudents are in the stage of adolescence, which has the psychological development of uniquecharacteristics, so the investigation of the junior middle school students’ peer situation and thestability is especially with practical significanceThis research selects the rural Junior Middle School students as the objects, longitudinaldesign were employed in the present study, questionnaire method were applied in this survey.Carry out follow-up study of pupils from April2008, lasted four years and completed the alltracking stages of junior middle school students.With the social measurement method of learning, further research investigate theinfluence of social behavior and scholastic attainment. The principal results of this researchindicate that:1. Each type of junior high school students’peer status distribution display a markeddifference.Common type is the highest of the proportion,and the controversial tye is thelowest.2. There is some stability of peer status, but as the grade growth the stability graduallyreduced. The stabilityof the refused type is the highest.3. Social behavior and scholastic attainment all influence the middle school students’peerstatus. Students with high performance of attack for rejected type, and students with lowacademic achievement don’t be enjoyed by all. The boy’s attack generally higher than thegirls, girls’academic performance is higher than that of male students. Social behavior playslarger effect on the stability of the peer status, but the effect of academic achievement is notso significant.
