Exploration On The Theory Of Fairy Tale In New Era

The theory of Chinese fairy tale comes from the period of the May Fourth Movement in1919, when many significant achievements were made and a solid foundation for the whole Chinese fairy tale theory was laid. However, it has passed through a tortuous course of development since then and only until the new era it was able to gradually restore from depression. After more than30years of exploration and development the fairy tale theory in the new era has yielded fruitful results and it brings about the immediate necessity of systematic collating and summarizing of the theory, nevertheless until now there takes few concern and attention for this topic in the areas of expertise.In this paper, we focus on the fairy tale theory in the new era, and make an attempt to collate and summarize the theoretical results to highlight the context and direction of the Chinese fairy tale theory in the new era. We summarized the achievements as well as the shortcomings so as to make better reflection for the moment. The preamble of the paper describes the historical origins and the theoretical results of the fairy tale theory in the new era, including the state-of-the-art study of this topic, significance and research methods. In this article, it is believed that the development of the fairy tale theory in the new era performs obvious characteristics in different stages, and summarized as follows:recovery and reconstruction:the age of new enlightenment (1977-1989), construction and exploration:the age of spontaneous study (1990-1999), contention and confusion:the age of theory diversification (since2000). The collating and summarizing of the theoretical results of the corresponding stage of the fairy tale constitutes the first three chapters of this article. The fourth chapter is about the overall reflection of the fairy tale theory in the new era, including the overall evaluation and reflection on the inadequacies of the new era fairy tale. The Conclusion section is based on the main content of this thesis and summarized the contribution and position of the new era fairy tale theory and gives an outlook of the contemporary fairy tale theory.This paper believes that the fairy tale theory in the new era has achieved fruitful results while there are also some shortcomings, such as:the deficiencies of the fairy tale ontology and the lack of traditional fairy tale education. We suggest that the present fairy tale theory should first return to the literature standard. Secondly, there should be awareness of the times and worldwide vision, which will be conducive to the continuous expansion of fairy theory and promoting of the development of the fairy tale creation.
