Study On The Spatial Morphology Of The Historic Villages And Towns In Hunan

With popularity of the concept of the historical culture villages, that protection and development to historical culture villages is a big problem for living environment. From the angle of architecture and ekistic, combined with multi-science knowledge such as sociology, geography, landscape design etc, mainly by several methods of investigation, induce deduction, reference literature, comparative analysis, from the survey of the present situation, relevant historical documents and planning text of historical culture villages, research on historical culture villages began. Hunan is a landscape type variety, and from the mountains and hills, GangDe, plain, and an aptitude for the water.Different topography of the settlement spatial form exists a degree of difference. This paper discusses the southern hunan, affecting, northeast, xiangxi, the base of the region in the natural environment and respectively social environment, the differences in different areas of the summarized the main settlement spatial form.
