The Research Of Modern Chinese Reduplicated Combination Of AABB Construction

AABB is a widely used type of grammatical structure, which is very common inmodern Chinese written and spoken language. AABB type is commonly used,productive and open class of words. It has a long history, dating back to ancient times.From the formal point of view, it has a symmetrical and regular syntactic structure andsymmetry and neat rhythm structure, which reflects perfectly the stimulation oflanguage to natural harmonious beauty. As the source of AABB-type words is verycomplicated, it has a rich variety of grammatical meanings. Reduplicated-combinationand reduplication of AABB are two different grammatical methods. Thereduplicated-combination of AABB is to combine the two reduplication of AA andBB, as a result you get AABB. It is the result of So, reduplicated-combination is acomplex method using reduplication and combination. We tend to regard the AABBreduplicated-combination as a special structure in Chinese. We will refer to thetheoretical framework of Construction Grammar, adopting the theory of dynamicanalysis associated with three planes, using the combination of description andexplanation, the combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis, the combination of synchronic and diachronic，we will have a more comprehensive study and researchinto AABB construction from structural approach, semantic features, grammaticalfunction and pragmatic value. The paper is divided into four parts:Chapter1: Introductory Part, which makes a more detailed sort and descriptionof the research into Chinese reduplication, the diachronic research and synchronic ofAABB type, quantity category of Chinese, etc. It also describes the theoretical basisand the theme.Chapter2: First define the reduplicated-combination of AABB, then examine itsstructure form and internal morpheme meaning and component scope. It also analyzesthe semantic conditions of reduplicated-combination of AABB constituted by A andChapter3: Comprehensively examines the grammatical meaning ofreduplicated-combination of AABB from the view of a cognitive linguistic theory andquantity category theory. It describes and explains the changes from basic type to thequantity increase of AABB type as well as grammatical function.Chapter4: Examine the structure of AABB type, function and grammaticalmeaning in several historical stages, from earlier Qin Dynasty to Ming and QingDynasty, and predict their development.
