Although China’s national interest on the Korean peninsula had been mainly security during the Cold War,,its width and dept have in fact greatly changed since the end of the Cold War.This article firstly interprets the general notion of the interests and then gives an analysis of China’s interests of security, economy and culture after the Cold War. As far as the security is concerned, China’s interest focuses on Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) out of geopolitical consideration,containing contents of security of China on the Korean peninsula, historical significance of the peninsular to China’s security, two vital factors impacting upon security of China, namely, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) and the United States of America(USA), and the realization of security of China on the peninsular,etc., which forms Chapter One.The part concerning China’s economic interest on the Korean peninsula not only includes China’s economic interest in Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK), but also in Republic of korea. The former is comparatively monotonous, but the latter involves trade, tourism as well as the enchanting prospect of establishing the Free Trade Area.Lastly comes China’s cultural interest on Korean peninsula. It is mainly embodied in Republic of Korea, which not only refers to cultural interest of China in Republic of Korea but also cultural interest contradictions between China and Republic of Korea.China’s interests on the Korean peninsula are characterized by non-equilibriumChina’s national interests on the Korean peninsula are an entangled complex. How to realize the national interests and how to balance and choose among these interests are an important subject for China.
