Tagore is the most influential India poet and writer in the twentieth Century. With a full of Oriental mysticism " Jitanjiali ", Tagore let the world know him. As Asia’s first Nobel Prize winner, Tagore make hard work to his motherland-Indian, to make contribution to national revival movement, paying close attention to Asia and world nationalism movement. In the process, he gradually formed a unique personal views of nationalism.This paper focus on the study of Tagore’s views of nationalism. From the background of his nationalism view, as the focus to the text, to analysis Tagore nationalism ideology. In the first chapter,I make Classification of the development of Tagore’s nationalism view, analysis his nationalism views in the book Nationalism, and compare his views of nationalism and Gandhi’s. In the second chapter,I analysis his works to review Tagore’s nationalism view, from Tagore’s poetry, fiction, drama, essays to reveal the performance on nationalism. In the third chapter, I analysis Tagore’s views of nationalism from the event of Tagore’s visit in China, discussing the influence and its cultural factors. In the last part, I make the dissertation of Tagore’s nationalism views, analysising Tagore’s nationalism views on contemporary significance, and make the conclusion.
