In the existing research materials, it is more concerned about the internal consistency of the negatives and relative sentences in Minnan dialect, while ignoring or less talking about their geographical differences. The historical development of the negatives and relative sentences have not been teased out a clear course, too. As far as redundant negation, pragmatic negation of the Minnan dialect, etc. they are still very weak. This article tries to take mother tongue Quanzhou dialect as foothold, apply grammaticalization, lexicalization, redundant negation and other related theories and combine with field surveys to make a more detailed description not only of the Quanzhou dialect negatives and relative sentences, but also of their historical development and subjunctive semanticization, including the comparison among Quanzhou, Amoy and Zhangzhou dialect. So we can build a more comprehensive system of the negatives and relative sentences in Quanzhou dialect even in Minnan dialect.
