The book is a container for knowledge, is the carrier of culture, book designdevelopment to today evolved into the books starting from the five senses from a simplefunction of carrying text, the overall design. Unlimited possibilities while new ideas tothe book form, but also generate new problems, such as some designers simply thepursuit of complex structures, special materials, as well as from the external form of thebooks’ content, and so on, resulting in the uncontrolled excess of the design. Meanwhile,the market economy system, the unprecedented prosperity of the publishing industry,some publishers only on benefits, heavy quality, the market is flooded with themonotony of programmable design generated a lot of visual garbage. These problems tothe reader, causing severe dyslexia and fatigued, book design development deviatedfrom the proper track. This article discusses around this contradiction, does not revealthe design traces of book design is the pursuit of the form of hidden behind the designconcept, the United States is not an end in the form, but to guide readers through theappropriate form of access to content, to reach fluency humanity reading experience, sothat readers do not feel the presence designed, this is the designer’s wisdom.This article uses a case analysis, contrast induction, social research and othermethods to try from the art design, editing, science, technology and dissemination ofmultiple angles of the exposed design traces the concept of design for books toimportant.
