Shanxi Miansu in the long history of Chinese folk art had been an important position, it is widely distributed in the Shanxi Province, the range of diverse types and styles, has a strong influence in the regional and integrated, has been heritaged thousands of years in the Jin culture. Shanxi Miansu is a true reflection of the life and customs of the people at the time, by the extremely simple, common tools people can make the varieties shapes of the Miansu works,which exaggerated shape the culture of the Yellow River Basin to demonstrat its tenacious the arts vitality, carried all aspects of the cultural life of the Shanxi people.Shanxi Miansu had been selected Shanxi Intangible Cultural Heritage. In order to inherit and carry forward it that the ancestors left is a valuable asset to, we need vigorously protect and develop. This article is based on the plastic arts and cultural research of Shanxi Miansu, from the distribution in Shanxi Province, the plastic arts and cultural characteristics, using the method of surveys in the field and multi-disciplinary research, mainly analyzed from the following aspects:(1) Shanxi Miansu has the essential attributes in the technical and art history. The paper mainly studies the Miansu from the technology and the plastic arts, and in-depth analyzes it.(2) The Shanxi Miansu has formed the cultural property in the cultural heritage. Development and heritage of folk Miansu is based on folklore, is also evolved in terms of customs which is an important part of the local folk customs. It not only heritages the folk culture, and also provides a good entry point for us to study the characteristics of folk culture. And we need in-depth analysis and discuss behind the content.(3) Bring forward the methods and measures to protect and pass on the Miansu art.
