Dream And Lyric Of Shen Congwen’s Novel

Shen Congwen as a typical writer of the lyric genre, always keep on using gentle、lyric style to excavate the existence of rustic humanity,outlining and describing the rich connotation of local world. And he always expresses the emotional attribution of Local natural and Fundamental humanity according his own understanding,writes the spiritual perception of original vitality.The style of his language is fresh and quaint、pure and vivid and full of rich local color.The descriptions of dreams which as typical images of the lyrics novel make his novel having more naive、dreamlike quality.Dream is a form of life and a way of thinking,so it is a stimulation to artistic innovation and the necessary ingredients to the content and structure of literary narrative.He achieves the reconstruction which is about the natural、people and things in his work through the way of "dream".This Reflects his abundant temperament of romance and fantasy. So my paper try to understand and analysis the relationship of the"dream" and the lyricism in novel.I think that will help me to understand the works and Shen Congwen more exhaustively.In the first chapter, it will explain the lyrical features and the description of dreams in Shen Congwen’s novel respectively,and find out the relationship between them.The poetic lyricism reflected in the specific creation expressed as the following points:Intending to fade out circumstances of story.committing to create and render the emotional atmosphere and express emotional experience; Displaying the inner world of characters;The country folk figures those as if from out of the impressionistic painting show out similar character;Large numbers of dream appearing in Shen Congwen’s lyrical novel make the novel fulling of romanticism.That not only the specific dreams of the characters in the novel but also the author’s own dreams hid deep feelings and reflects the author’s wishes.We can find the relationship between the"dream" and the lyricism in novel from those mentioned above:the"dream" are both the purpose and the lyrical way.Dream in literary narrative as a symbol and the desire to achieve, is an abstract lyricism,and in the first chapter of the second section I will analysis the embodiment of his own ideals in the novel. In the second chapter I will analysis the describes about the dreams of the characters in the novel combined with text itself from the dream and ironic lyrical.That will reveal the deep implication of the text and the inherent correlation of the analysis of dreams and fiction lyrical.It will compare and analysis the dream and lyricism of Shen Congwen’s and Feiming’s novel from both of the similarities and differences in the last chapter of this paper.
