Throughout history, we can see that Confucianism, as the mainstream of Chinese philosophy, is a learning of integrity of heaven and human, which especially concerns about human’s life and becomes obviously clear through the constant development of Yi-ology. Lu Jiuyuan’s theory also belongs to this kind of heaven-human philosophy. It roots in the great foundation of Yi-ology, deeply concerning about human’s life. Therefore, on the basis of previous research and the great Yi-ological foundation, this article tries to study and analyse Lu Jiuyuan’s Yi-ology from the perspective of life. The article consists of introduction, the main text and conclusion.Combining the environment of Lu Jiuyuan’s time, the introduction briefly describes Lu Jiuyuan’s life experience and academic background, and then points out its social and historical reasons and roots. Besides, it also gives the current research status of Lu Jiuyuan’s thought through the literature review part, which then leads to the reason and method of the article. The main text consists of four parts. The first part discusses the historical development of Canon Hermeneutics and Lu Jiuyuan’s breakthrough of it. Different from the traditional ways of interpretation, Lu Jiuyuan considers classics the footnote of human’s life. Therefore, instead of revering classics and the sage, people should be self-dignified, and treasure what they already have. The second part exposes Lu Jiuyuan thought’s Yi-ological foundation and reveals a living organic cosmic panorama. In this cosmic panorama, the ultimate foundation Tai Ji, i.e. the heavenly principle, is endowed by the myriad things, including human’s heart. Hence, human and heaven are integrate, and human and all the myriad things are intrinsically the same. All the things should be equally respected. More importantly, although this heavenly principle is metaphysical, it is not detached from the physics, but resides in human’s living.lt is actually human’s life. The third part deals with the contradiction between ideal personality and real personality, which lies in the self-defilade of heart. Covered by all kinds of material desires and opinions, human’s heart cannot fluently extend and operate, which in turn restrains human’s life and blocks the integrity of human and heaven. Lu Jiuyuan considers that it is because the difference of innate ability and social experience. Based on this theory, Lu Jiuyuan considers Zhu Xi and his thought heresy. The last part of the main text disserts on human’s real life. Lu Jiuyuan asserts that people should realize their own value in daily life. Turn back to their own life, and let their heart smoothly and naturally operate. However, when the heart is self-defilade, people should firstly recover it through several specific measures as mentioned.
