The Quantitative Study On Political Terms Since The Reform And Opening Up

Offical document becomes different from other styles of the written language for its accurate, rigorous, grave and standard. And the research on political document is called political linguistics. After the establishment of large-scale corpus of official documents, we select454political terms according to some principles. On the one hand, we study on structure type, word length and word frequency, in order to research on political terms from the static point of view. On the other hand, from the stable process and evolution of dynamic angle to study on the development and evolution of political terms.Study of the political terms will not only help us with document research and writing, but also provides an exchange platform for the study of political language in the field of politics and linguistics. This paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter1:Introduction.First of all to explain the meaning of "political terms", and then to discuss the significance of the selected topic, the study situation, the guided theories and research methods are pointed at the end of this chapter.Chapter2:The establishment of the official documents corpus. This chapter mainly talks about the constraction of the official document corpus, including the selecting principles, the sampling methods and processing of the corpus. Then segmentation and tagging, labeling and manual proofreading of the political terms corpus are introduced.Chapter3:The static analysis of the political terms. Firstly, we divided the political terms into three types:word, phrase and sentence type; secondly, to analyse the length and word frequency conditions of the political terms.Chapter4:The dynamic of political terms. This chapter mainly analyses the development and changes of political terms. And then identify the changes in the political terms into four classes:digital abbreviations, punctuation changes, the term fine-tuning expansion. The development trend of political terms will be forcasted in the end. Chapter5:Conclusion. Describes the results of this study, as well as the shortcomings, will be described at this chapter. Besides, further research on political terms is to be predicted.
