This study aims to compare and analyze the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages Curriculum and the Master of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language Curriculum, with the purpose of promoting that these two disciplines learn from each other, mutually improve and develop provided references.For this matter, this study’s1st Chapter explains the purpose and significance of comparing and analyzing the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages Curriculum and the Master of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language Curriculum).The2nd Chapter, using references to related literature, will try to comprehend the current training situation of the Professional Master’s Degree of Chinese International Education and analyze and evaluate the educational curriculum structure of the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.The3rd Chapter, using references to related literature and taking advantage of means of communications (email, phone) to collect information, will try to further comprehend the current training situation of the Master of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language and analyze and evaluate the educational curriculum structure of the Master of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language. The4th Chapter puts forward a conclusion to this study along with an improvement of the educational curricula proposal plan for both countries, China and South-Korea.The influence of China as an emerging country is increasing day by day, in pace with its rapid economic growth. The Chinese Government is sparing no effort in promoting the development of Chinese Language popularization programs, with clear intentions of using such rising popularity in achieving worldwide spread of the Chinese Traditional Culture. As one of the most important culture spread strategies, the Chinese Government has established Confucius Institutes in numerous countries, hence promoting the Chinese Language popularity across the World. A second important strategy is the establishment of the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages across universities. As independent of the existing professional disciplines in the Education Institutes of Chinese as a Foreign Language, the goal of its establishment being training the necessary human resources needed to popularize Chinese Language, the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages was still developed based on the Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language discipline (TCFL). It can be stated that the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages is a particular professional degree. The Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages is offered as a full time but also as an in-service part-time training, both modes of study having specific directives regarding admission conditions and examinations, curricula, graduation deadlines, and degree obtained, etc.South-Korea features the Master of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language, which is the professional master’s degree in the field of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language (TKFL), comparable to the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. The Master of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language curriculum also has specific directives regarding admission conditions and examinations, training modes of study, curricula, graduation deadlines, and degree obtained, etc.The purpose of establishing the two curricula, that is the Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages and the Teaching of Korean as a Foreign Language is to train qualified teachers having non-native Chinese and Korean speakers as teaching objects. Thanks to many years of continuous efforts, China and South-Korea have already mastered unique methods of to worldwide spread their national languages. It is necessary that these two countries share and mutually exchange their accumulated experiences and their achievements in this regard. However, both these disciplines have yet unresolved problems and inadequacies. Only by learning from each other and by mutually improving through such comparisons and analyses, these two disciplines will then be able to closely keep up with the time trends in the forthcoming developments.
