A Study Of Xie Zhuang’s Literature

Xie Zhuang,styled himself Xiyi, is an important poet in the later period of Liu Song in Northern and Southern dynasties. Although his literature achievement is less remarkable than Xie Lingyun and Xie Tiao, his poetic prose show a special feature in the period of literature transit. The research on him is valuable for us to know the trend of literature in Liusong and Qiliang period.This paper intends to make a meticulous of further research on Xie Zhuang’s unique literary creation, on the basis of previous sdudies. This paper uses a perspective of literature history on the whole, on the background of literary style history. In part of this paper, we have a transverse comparison research to highlighted its characteristics, in order to discuss his literature history status and contribution.The introduction summarizes the recent research on Xie Zhuang and discusses the authenticity of Yue Quchi Fu.The first chapter makes a research on Xie Zhuang’s literature views, including three parts. The first part analyses the influence of his family on his literature creation. The second part analyses his literary innovative consciousness. The third part analysis his aesthetic personality.The second chapter makes a research on Xie Zhuang’s poems, including four parts. The first part analyses two different poetry style. The second part analyses his poetry transit from Yuan Jia style to Yong Ming style, from poetry style and hierarchical structure two aspects. The third part analyses his Za Yan poetry, from the perspective of poetry and Fu’s fusion, pointing out its influence on later generations. The fourth part analyses the reference to the music bureau folk songs on the sentence and style of Za Yan poetry.The third chapter makes a research on Xie Zhuang’s Fu and proses, also including four parts. The first part discussed the poetic tendency of Month fu, through to the poetic artistic conception analysis. The second part analyses the enriched connotation of moon image through two apects:the way of people watching moon, regular collocation of moon and music. The third part analyses the description in Month fu, Chi Yingwu fu and Wu Ma fu, in order to discuss Xie Zhang’s description of capability. The fourth part analyses antitheses of funeral eulogies’ variation from the perspective of the antitheses of funeral eulogies’phylogeny.The fourth chapter makes a research on his works’ tonal pattern, including two parts. The first part analyses the phenomenon of tonal pattern in his poetry and articles. The second part analyses the cause,why did him be good at tonal pattern, from two perspective of Buddhist causes and melody.The conclusion summarizes the paper to point out Xie Zhuang’s literature creation characters contributions, the innovation points and the shortcomings of the paper.
