In this thesis, the author mainly does empirical research for the network teaching,especially the blended English teaching. From the influence of network English teachingtheory, the author proceeds comparative study to network teaching and traditional teachingunder the background of the higher vocational English teaching reform. This thesiscombines with the related theory and comprehensive application of questionnaires,interviews and other methods and explains the effectiveness of blended learning applied inthe higher vocational English teaching. Finally, the research results and the existingproblems are analyzed and suggestions for improvement are put forward.This research is divided into six parts: the introduction part elaborates the researchbackground, research status, research purpose and significance; the first chapter mainlydoes the literature review and comments; the second chapter describes the important theorybasis of network English teaching, namely constructivism, the affective filter hypothesis,the input hypothesis which have great influence to the network English teaching; In thethird part the research methodology and process are described,the comparative study onnetwork teaching and traditional teaching is proceeded through the research questions, andconcludes the two are complementary relationship and confirms the blended teachingmode of combination of “online course and face-to face teaching “applied in Englishteaching in higher vocational school is effective; the fourth chapter analyzes the researchresult and the existing problems from two aspects of teachers, students and thecountermeasures are proposed; the conclusion part summarizes the research work in thispaper and sums up the conclusion of the study, points out the lack of research and thefurther research and direction in the future.
