The rapid development of information technology has brought great changes in the field of education.Nowadays,specialists are paying great attention to online-offline blended teaching mode.As an innovative teaching method,it makes the best use of classroom learning time and resources and promotes students' personalized learning.On the other hand,currently,there are very few practices and researches on the application of blended teaching to English writing in vocational colleges.As is known to all,English writing occupies an important and indispensable position in English teaching.However,many non-English majors in vocational colleges are facing great difficulties in mastering the skills and strategies of English writing,which hinders their clear expression of ideas and affects their communication and learning process.In the process of teaching English writing for English For Careers,the author has been experimenting with adoption of the blended mode to routine classroom activities,and in this study,the author will present the results and findings by answering the following three questions:(1)Can online-offline blended writing teaching mode improve vocational college students' writing performance?(2)What is the difference between the influence of online-offline blended writing teaching mode on students at different levels?(3)How does online-offline blended teaching mode influence students' learning attitude toward English writing in vocational colleges?In this study,the research subjects are two parallel classes of non-English major sophomore students in Jining Vocational Technical Institute.The research methods are literature research,questionnaire and experiment.The research tools include SPSS,Excel and questionnaire.Students in the control class were taught in traditional multimedia-assisted teaching method and students in the experimental class were taught in the blended teaching methods.Throughout the semester,three writing tests were conducted to analyze students' competence in content control,language use and organization.The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of blended teaching has a positive impact on the writing performance of non-English majors in vocational colleges.It can have a positive influence on the writing of students of different learning levels,and arouse their writing enthusiasm.Meanwhile,the author also summarized the shortcomings of this study and analyzed the causes in order to contribute to the future research in related fields.
