In this study, the role identity refers to a particular social identity which one person is cognizing, feeling, experiencing, and acquiring, internalizing the values and social standards which is within the role itself. Subjective well-being is an individual self-evaluation on overall life satisfaction and emotional state of self-standard and experience. It is an important measure index on quality of life and mental health. On the basis of reviewing at home and abroad researches about the role of identity and subjective happiness, the city bus drivers role identity questionnaire is developed to explore their living conditions and psychological state; explore and verify the influencing factors within the relationship; explore the relationship of subjective well-being and role identity in city bus drivers.This study uses quantitative research as the test method. A total of160bus drivers in Chengdu Bus Corporation participate in the study. The tools include: self-designed city bus driver role identity scale, Chinese urban residents subjective well-being scale revision of the simplified version (SWBSCC-revised).Based on existing research results about the role of identity, a semi-staictured interview is designed, to analysis the past researches, and collect relevant information through the semi-structured interviews, and discusses with the experts about the dimensions of the city bus driver role identity and finalize the dimensions of the preparation of a good questionnaire. Using the "City bus driver role identity scale" facilities to test and verify the questionnaire Chinese urban residents of SWB revised version of simplified version (SWBSCC-revised) measurement of subjective well-beingThe main conclusions in the study are as follows:(1) City bus driver role identity is generally good. The rights and responsibilities of the city bus driver role account for the largest ratio, and then the knowledge and evaluation of the role of urban bus drivers.(2) The overall subjective well-being of urban bus drivers is in a good level. Particularly reflects in the dimensions of growth and development, family atmosphere, social confidence, self-acceptance, relationships and feel good target value of urban bus drivers.(3) The role of knowledge, roles rights and responsibilities, the role of evaluation, work behaviors, lifestyle factors of the city bus driver role identity are predictive for the subjective well-being. The role of knowledge and the role of rights and responsibilities of the role identity of urban bus drivers have direct predictive effect on SWB.(4) Urban bus driver role identity makes some adjustments to subjective well-being.
