This research bases on the well-being theory of experience ,using SWBS—revised and socially supportive behavior (ISSB) and choosing 1773 urban youth subjects from six cities of China. The main content is about the condition of youth's SWB, the relationship of the demography variables and subjective well-being, social support's moderating effect of the relationship of demographic variables and SWB. It can consummate and deepen the SWB theory.Subjective well-being, as a individual's innermost experience, is bound to be different characters with different groups. Most theoretical and practical studies have revealed that SWB of urban youth is significantly different from other groups. But still lacks researches in our nation. On basis of this, two related studies were conducted to examine the condition of youth group SWB It can consummate and deepen the urban theory and help the government work out relevance policy to improve urban youth's subjective well-being level by discussing the results. In study 1,youth subjects were investigated in terms of SWB condition and the relationship of demography variables and SWB.In study 2,the youth subjects were investigated for social support's moderating effect of the relationship of demographic variables and SWB.The main findings of the two studies above are as follows:1 The subjective well-being of urban youth has no significant difference from the national mean level.2 The subjective well-being level of urban youth takes declining trend with the age grows. There is not significant gender difference in SWB, except in some subscales. there are other demographic difference: the higher education level youth get, the more subjective well-being people experience. The more incomes youth people have, the more well-being they experience. Income level has great affect on the relation of the demography variables and subjective well-being.3 The marital status does not take remarkable influence to the youth SWB, but has the gender differences. Married women got more positive experience compared with married men. The gender difference and marital status have correlation with youth SWB, and the influence does not change with age increase.4 High school student's SWB level is higher than other youth in the same age.5 During urban youth group, social support moderates the relationship of demographic variables and SWB.Higher social support can help lower education level youth experience more subjective well-being. Social support does not moderate the relationship of income level and SWB.
