Teaching materials is very important in the four major areas positions of foreign languageteaching. Business Chinese teaching materials has developed rapidly in recent decades. However,according to the summary of previous research of business Chinese teaching and teachingmaterials, it is not difficult to see, although we have accumulated much experience in thepreparation of business Chinese, the problem is endless. But the foreign special purpose linguistics,especially business English, theory of researching and writing is relatively mature. We can learnfrom the results of theoretical studies of business English, to sum up the preparation of conceptsand theories of business Chinese teaching materials. What research predecessors have done inbusiness English, or propose overall vision of theory, or make suggestion for a part of the materials,there is no comprehensive plan for the preparation of new business Chinese teaching materials.This paper is intended to offer constructive ideas for the preparation of new generation of businessChinese teaching materials by theoretical analysis and learn from business English.First, this paper describes an overview of the current domestic business Chinese teaching materials.Summarizes the main achievements and the problems, also summarizes the achievements inteaching business English and teaching materials research.Second, this paper definite the concept of business Chinese, describe the characteristics of thebusiness Chinese teaching, provides a brief description of the course of development of businessEnglish and ESP theory.The main part of this paper analyze the micro and macro aspects of the business Chinese teachingmaterials, uses the transverse and longitudinal comparative analysis of research methods, thebusiness Chinese teaching materials we analyze are 《Intermediate commercial Chinese of the"New Century"》and 《Business Chinese (Intermediate)》,the business English teaching materialswe analyze are 《New Cambridge Business English (Vantage)》and《New Cambridge BusinessEnglish (Intermediate)》. By the comparison and comprehensive analysis of the various components of the two businessChinese teaching materials selected, basic summarize the features of current business Chineseteaching materials. Through the contrast between the selected business Chinese and businessEnglish teaching materials to identify the difference in the preparation of the theory and thepreparation principle, also analyze the integral part of these textbooks--the content of the textframework, vocabulary section, the practice part of the cultural projects. Indict that the preparationof business Chinese should base on the fundamental principles, taking into account thecharacteristics at the same time. Refer to the specific use of the ESP in Business English teachingmaterials, identify the areas where need improve in the construction of business Chinese teachingmaterials. Keep advantages and throw disadvantage, prove business Chinese teaching materialsdevelop better and faster.Finally, propose some suggests of new generation business Chinese teaching materials on the basisof the above analysis and summary: firstly, propose several principles, such as requirementsanalysis principles, scientific principles, flexible and openness principle, interesting principles.Secondly, demonstrate the preparation of the suggestion from the macro-structure and microstructure of the materials. Thirdly, in order to make the business Chinese teaching materials bothhave ontology Chinese learning and can broaden international business perspective, we should tryto combine scholars both domestic and abroad compile teaching materials together. Finally, toestablish a scientific materials evaluation system.
