| With the development of Chinese economy and foreign trade industry in recentyears, more and more foreign business men come to China to launch their ownbusiness. Therefore, business Chinese has become their working language and plays asignificant role in their working life. Meanwhile, the career of teaching businessChinese is more important and exuberant than before.Course book is essential in the language teaching process and daily teachingwork. Business Chinese is one kind of language for special purpose, so its study willinclude both language skills and knowledge，which make business Chinese book moresignificant for Chinese teaching. In the past, the research on business Chinese coursebook would limit to a sample book or go between two different business Chinesebooks. However, this paper will bring Cambridge business English into comparison,which provides a wider horizon for comparative research on business Chinese coursebooks, so that the relevant improvement can be made to promote the development ofbusiness Chinese course book.The first chapter of this paper is introduction which covers a brief statement ofresearch object and purpose as well as the reason for choosing business Chinesecourse book comparison as research object in this paper. The second chapter willmake the concept of “business English” and “business Chinese” clear at first andintroduce “Success with BEC (Higher)” and “New Silk Road Business Chinese”briefly. The third chapter will go further to illustrate the writing syllabus of bothcourse books and comparison between the differences in topic, article resource,practice and vocabulary. The forth chapter will analysis the strong and weak point of“New Silk Road Business Chinese”, which base on the theory of the second languageteaching method, and put forward the improvement methods. The last chapter willdraw a conclusion and present the area in future research. |
