The Comparing Between "Business Chinese" And"International Business Chinese Course"

Thailand has been for a long time for Chinese language education. Because of the enormous number of Thai students learning Chinese and because of the changes in the field of learning Chinese, the students not only significantly increase the demand for Chinese teaching materials, but also have greater demands on the quality and type of Chinese textbooks.Neither Thailand’s local Chinese teaching nor materials nor imported Chinese teaching materials; those materials have caused a few issues. The most significant problem is, they less consider Thailand’s characteristics, and other issues such as boring and outdated texts, practical and communicative problems. The research in Thailand and China is mostly theoretical, which presents a number of issues. In recent years, the growing number of exchanges has allowed comparisons between different teaching materials and textbooks. Chinese and Thai textbooks also have some shortcomings. In particular, there are very few comparisons between specialized materials. This article therefore attempts to compare the two most used Business Chinese textbooks in Thailand, combined with theory and questionnaire regarding Chinese Textbooks in order to illustrate some problems and improve the methods.The article is divided as following:the first chapter is the introduction on the purpose and value of this research, the scope of the study, the research methodology and a summary of research on Business Chinese textbooks.The second chapter describes the Business Chinese language teaching and teaching materials, it describes definition, characteristics and content description of business Chinese. This chapter also describes the Chinese language education in Thailand and teaching materials status quo, so as to localization textbooks lay the foundation.The third chapter conducts a comprehensive comparison of "Business Chinese" and "International Business Chinese Course". I analyze the teaching theory principles, the general structure, the content, new words, typical sentences and characters aspects of these two textbooks. Through a comparative analysis, understanding the advantages and disadvantages of these two sets of textbooks, this thesis analyzes teaching materials suitable for Thai requirements.Chapter IV as a conclusion summarizes the comparisons between the characteristics of the two materials, the localization of teaching materials in Thailand, and then suggests ideas of how to improve these materials.This paper through a comparative analysis of "Business Chinese" and "International Business Chinese Course", aims to summarize the materials used by Thai Students, in order to provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for future teaching materials.
