"Shuowenjiezi" is a compilation of the dictionary of China’s Eastern HanDynasty scholar Xu Shen. This book is divided into540radical, received word9,353,while the1,163variants,133,441words, the original book is divided into directory abody14. It is the first Chinese dictionary arrangement in accordance with the radicals,the world’s first word book one.540radical is a book outline, research is the study of"the text said" the fundamental radicals and radical word. This paper is about the“quan”(dog) radical, the first classification of subordinate word, exhaustiveinvestigation on the sub-categories of form and meaning. Also take into account theheavy text as well as of form and meaning change reflects the traditional culture.The paper is divided into four parts. The first part will dixide the “quan”(dog)radical into four parts.For the second part of the glyph changes and lists theinflectional table. This section also points the Department of “quan”(dog) radical offive re-word text. The third part of the same basis for the division of categories, thestudy of the meaning of words. The fourth part will “quan”(dog) radical of words withsome radical comparison, also discribe the Chinese traditional culture which reflect bythe “quan”(dog) radical.
