A Study On The Characters Of "Shui(水)" Radical In Shuowenjiezi

ShuowenJiezi is the first philology writing in China,which analyses Font, explainthe meaning, and distinguish Hanzi pronunciation based on the theory of Liushu,preserves a lot of Script Exegesis rererence materials about the Pre-Qin, the HanDynasty and before it.It has important research value in sides of the Ancient ChineseCharacter,the Ancient Document and the Historical Culture.This paper takes505characters with the Radical of "shui" in Shuowen as the reaearch object,to achieve theexhaustive system reseach about the Font,Meaning and Chongwen of the affix "shui".This paper is composed of four chapters.The first chapter, on the basis ofunderstanding the original meaning,we divide the semantic category of505charactersto structure a ralatively complete the character system of the Radical of "shui".Thesecond and third chapter,combining the theoretical explanation with the chart,whichdiscusses the Font and Meaning of the Radical of "shui" comprehensively.The fourthchapter, it studies deeply the Chongwen in the Radical of "shui" and the relationshipof Chongwen and the Zitou Zhengzhuan, which is a supplement to studying the Fontand Meaning about the Radical of "shui".As one of the most amount character radicals in Shuowen, taking an exhaustiveanalysis of the font and meaning in the Radical of "shui" to provide the researchmaterials for the Chinese character Font and Meaning studying system.
