The symphonic poem3rdof Franz Liszt. The Prelude, is one of the bestrepresentatives of the symphonic poems, reflecting the character of symphonic poem ofsymphonic poem of Liszt, and the composing to the directive motivation, the smartarrangement of music form to the flexible utilization of harmony. The main purpose ofthis article is generally for researching the prominent contribution given by Liszt onRomantic Music though the composing and some other angles of The Prelude.First of all, we are going to introduce Liszt ’s life and creation, and the symphonicpoem of this genre of music production process are introduced, and then describes indetail the main research object "prelude" process of the creation and expression of musiccontent.Second, this article will analyze the structure of the Prelude, the symphonic poem ofLiszt, generally from directive motivation and music form, minor arrangement. Thedirective motivation is an important musical character of the Prelude, consisting of thecharacter of pathetique and rondo, somewhat quite special.And then, focus on the Liszt symphonic poem "prelude" harmonic characteristicanalysis. Separately from the chord structure, harmony, multiple adjustable alternatingrelationship and modulation techniques in the four direction are analyzed in detail.At last, through the analysis of research on Liszt’s Symphonic Poem "prelude"creation, form and harmonic analysis, exploration of Liszt’s use of harmony artisticcharacteristics, discusses the artistic value of Liszt’s Symphonic poem. Emphasizes thethree root relationship of innovation. That Liszt’s harmonic vocabulary not only inheritedthe previous techniques, there are many personalized things, and in twentieth Century themodern harmonic thinking development influence.
