The symphonic poem Fengxue Wangli Jiaguo is composed according to a Mongolian historical story Dong Gui Zhuan. This story tells about how Mongolian hero Wobaxi, leading his followers who could not bear the oppression of the Czar, came back to China after breaking through various hardship. The composer centers around the Wobaxisong, vividly revealing how Wobaxi and his followers separated from the Russian rule. The composer combines the spectacular Mongolian music and western orchestral music, which shows great national characteristics.This paper takes the abovementioned as the research subject.
