Franz Liszt is an important composers during Romantic period in nineteenth-century, he pioneered the "symphonic poem", which is known as another important form of Symphony field after Beethoven. This thesis focuses on the analysis and research of the structure of the thirteen Symphonic Poem of Franz Liszt, analysis of its structure one by one,comprehensively grasp the structure characteristics of symphonic poem in view of the force from the macroscopic.The full text is divided into five chapters, the research involves the poem creation background and the formation, structure form, characteristics and break throughs of the thirteen symphonic poem of Franz Liszt,exploring the forming reasons of its characteristics. The first chapter briefly reviews the current research situation of Liszt’s symphonic poem, and puts forward the research value and significance of the thesis. The second chapter traces the development of symphonic poem, and briefly introduces Liszt’s Symphonic poems. In the third chapter, takes the structure of the thirteen symphonic poem of Liszt as the object analyzed one by one, further explore the relationship between the structure,the title, and the harmony of the symphonic poem. The fourth chapter combines the analysis of the previous chapter, summed up the characteristics of Liszt’s Symphonic poem. The fifth chapter concisely combs the cause of the structure and artistic value of Liszt’s Symphonic Poems. The final chapter is a total summary.The third and fourth is the focus of this paper, the author through a detailed analysis of the Liszt’s symphonic poem, comprehensively grasp the structure characteristics of symphonic poem in view of the force from the macroscopic and microscopic.To further explores the uniqueness of Liszt’s symphonic poem creation. In his works, a large amount of harmony means Impressionism characterstics, creative skill of tonality-vague, have broken new composers. At the same time, the emergence of this new genre, has injected fresh blood for the development of western music genre.
