In this paper, I have a systematic study on the process and discipline of the juniorsecond-language learner learning Chinese characters, vocabulary and reading with thecognitive psychology theory of language. Through questionnaires, interviews, andexperiments, I explore the obstructions that the junior learners have during the learningprocess and the solutions of them. The main sections of this article can be divided into5parts. They are reading theory, learning strategies of Chinese character, the effects ofword’s reproducibility on word’s recognition, the study on teaching methods of readingand the exploration of initial reading materials.Chapter1is the introductory on the main statement of significance, methodology ofthis papper and the literature review.Chapter2is the reading theory. The theory exploration on the reading process and thelearning process of reading. Including the “three models” and second language learningtheory.Chapter3is the learning strategies of Chinese character. It explored the differentlearning efficiency between learning strategy by experimental research and questionnaires.Chapter4mainly discussed the meaning of the words learning during the readingteaching and the effects of word’s reproducibility on word’s recognition.Chapter5is the study on teaching methods of reading. First describe the theory andprinciple of reading teaching. Then explain the characteristics of junior languagelearner.At last, I discussed pros and cons of “language synchronization” methods.Chapter6focuses on the initial reading materials, mainly in the case of "Chinesetutorial", first describe the sub-text, exercises, grammar notes and exercises of "Chinesetutorial", then research the students’ feed back by questionnaire.
