"Four Literary Friends" Poetry Writing Research

Cuirong,Lijiao,Suweidao,Dushenyan these four poets who were called “FourLiterary Friends”, combined to from an important literature community in early tangdynasty.“Four Literary Friends” entered their official career in Tanggaozong’s Period.They were all important Palace author from Wuzetian’s Period to Tangzhongzong’sshenlong years, they possessed the very high good reputation in political position. Inthat time most of them become important official, and also became very importantpalace literators. Their poems were mostly the works of characteristic of the palacepoems in the art. But with the development of the society, and their unique literaturetalent, their poems have many new changes. For example, they created the higherlevel works of the visual field being more open and the technique of expression beingmore diverse in similar themes. In addition,“Four Literary Friends” Pay attention tothe form of metrical style poetry, they use metrical standard in the poetry creationconsciously. They always hard work in order to promote development of metricalstyle poetry. In short,“Four Literary Friends” forming in the early tang of later stage.They and other writers promote to change early tang literature from tang of goldenage literature together. And they all lay a foundation for later literature.This dissertation is divided into three parts. The first part is “Four LiteraryFriends” sporadically discussing. It discriminates what literary was and introduce theirlife and many experiences. Then they combined with the literature field of the early oftang dynasty. The second part is about “Four Literary Friends” poetry. This partmainly study the appreciation of poetry especially contents and artistic characteristics.The third part is the last sections,“Four Literary Friends” influence and contributionin that time. In this part could discuss difference of their poetry like metrical style orfree style. Whatever metrical poetry or classical poetry and even poetry theory are allpromoting the development of Chinese literature.
