Rehe (Chengde City) took a remarkable position in the Qing Dynasty. Theemperors of Qing Dynasty went hunting in Mulan Paddock and spent summer in theMountain Resort every year, thus Chengde became the auxiliary capital of that time.Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, the three emperors of Qing Dynasty came to Chengdewith lots of ministers and followers and they enriched the Rehe Poetry. In thisbackground, this essay will mainly research Rehe Poetry’s features and value from thefollowing four aspects: Politics Evolution and Rehe Poetry, the help of scenery andRehe Squire Poetry、ShanZhuang Inscriptions and ShanZhuang Poetry contain andThe art specific of Rehe Poetry.The essay includes introduction and four chapters.The first chapter: First, we will discuss the Qing people’s frontier consciousnessfrom the Rehe District, and how the changes of frontier consciousness affected thecreation of poetry. Second, we discuss why Qing emperors spent summer in Rehe andhow the longterm summer resorting activities affected the Rehe Poetry. Finally, wewill analyze the Rehe Poetry from the research of squire routes and squire personnel.The second chapter analyzes the content and features of the subject----PostroadLandscape Poetry, Postroad Custom Poetry, Hunting Poetry and Postroad ElegyPoetry. It also tries to explain how the squire’s experience affected the poets’ mindand the creation of Rehe Poetry.The third chapter: It discusses the ShanZhuang Culture’s unique political, articleand ideological meaning from the ShanZhuang Inscriptions and ShanZhang ChroniclePoetry. The Imperial Summer Villa has close relationship with the Qing Dynasty’spolitics. So we can deeply understand Qing Dynasty’s culture.The last chapter: Although Rehe Poetry has no outstanding achievement andlacks classic chapters, it also has its own art characters which mainly include thefollowing two aspects. First, it becomes the special verse which combines the TravelPoetry, Landscape Poetry and Custom Poetry. Second, it takes reality as the mainartistic features. These poetries not only enrich the development of Qing Dynast’s Landscape Poetry, Custom Poetry and Hunting, but also play an important role in theChina Poem history.
