First of all, we here discussed space is not the natural space in natural science, but the social space, as a social problem, which is also connected with natural physical space. As the product of social history, it is accompanied increasingly disclosed with the developing of large-scale social production, especially the modern wage-labor mode of capitalist. Meanwhile, it is this kind of capitalist "Modernity" that highlights the important status and role of the social space. In ancient times, people cognize and understand space by generalizing and abstracting the spacial experiences. Of course, the experiential knowledge of space depend on the level of social development. Aristotle put up the metaphysical concept about space, which represents the highest level of spacial knowledge at that time. With the development of society and natural science, the metaphysical spacial concept is gradually displaced. The mass production of modern capitalist society disclosed the social nature of space as well as the spacial theory. That is to say, physical space, mental space and the space as social relations are tightly connected. It is the social nature of space that attracted many scholars to reflect social space. For example, in Hegel’s "absolute spirit "shows itself up in space, meanwhile, space expands itself with the evolution of reason. Therefore, in Hegel’s speculative logic, social space is nothing more than the construction of "spiritual space". However, Marx argued that apace is created in course of social practice rather than reason deduction. Based on Hegel’s dialectic and the though of practice Marx indicated the origin of spacial problem. At the same time, with the perspective of social historical space, he also created himself spacial theory concerning further analysis and critique of the capitalist production of space.Compared with postmodernist who analyse the phenomena of spacial production without any idea of historical dimension and construct Utopia, Marx reflected spacial problem depending on historical materialism. To begin with criticizing capitalist wage labour production, Marx disclosed the social-historical characteristic and imitations of capitalist production of space. What’more he also pointed out all kinds of disadvantages originating from capitalist production of space, in today Chinese industrialization and urbanization which is beneficial for us to avoid the drawbacks and limitations of capitalism.
