Alien Tribes And Crackdown The An-shih Rebellion

It is a notable feature that during An-shih rebellion, the relations between Tang and Alien tribes are closely in Tang history of ethnic relations. Although the rebels, leaded by An Lushan who initiated the rebellion, which have a large number of "barbarians legion", but this situation the Tang army also exists, such as HeLong tribes, the western regions tribes, and ShuoFang tribes and so on, they plays an important role in defending the Tang Dynasty’s frontier and assigning civil. Not only that, for recovering of two capital and putting down the rebellion quickly, the Tang Dynasty is also repeatedly call on foreign tribes, the soldiers of Uighur, YuTian, Tocharian, Seljuks are follows, playing an accelerate effect on ended the rebellion.This article is studying on the perspective of Alien tribes of helping Tang dynasty in putting down the An-shih Rebellion, dividing it into two systems, that is the garrison and the requisition, and also talking about the status of every tribe and bravery acts of tribe’s general, a series of deeds such as Li Guangbi, Pu Gu huaien etc. This paper is to explain that the essence of An-shih Rebel isn’t about ethnic issues but the relationship between central and local, although the rebellion is launched by some tribal leaders.
