Research On The Productionern And Administration Of Xixia’s Salt Industry

The salt industry is an important part of Xixia history. In this article, based on the others research, I will study the industry of salt mainly from four aspects:First, it is the production and management of salt before the founding of Xixia. It mainly talks about the development of the salt industry of this region in history, and systematically analyses the distribution and type of salt. In this way, it can change the situation of one-sided study of salt which caused by the inadequate Xixia literature. Second, it is the study of salt policy in Xixia history. It mainly focus on the recording of TianShengGaiJiuLuLing, combined with the Xixia nation before the Sui and Tang Dynasties and theSong period on the salt industry management, to infer salt management policy of Xixia from the unified Yuan Dynasty policy adjustments and to take a further study of Xixia salt administration completely. The third part is to analyze the development of Xixia salt industry from TianShengLuLing. The fourth question is the salt industry trade between Xixia and Song Dynasty. My exposition includes the change of salt policy based on the official trade and the civil smuggling. Studying from the Song and Xia regime salt policy, it analyzes the vital role of salt in the relations between the two sides. At last, it will study the impact of salt on Xixia. In order to have a better understanding of Xixia community as well as the relations of Song, Liao, Jin dynasty and Xixia. I will study from the enormous benefits of plainer salt production and the socio-economic significance of Xixia. Due to the lack of historical data of Xixia we have a lack understanding of the state of development of Xixia salt. In this article, I will analyze the production and policy of salt, then sketch out a complete system of salt development from the Northwest area where the Dangxiang family living from Sui and Tang Dynasties to the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. The study of Xixia salt industry reflected the social life and economic conditions of Xixia in vary degrees.Xixia was able to have a long-term confrontation with the pattern of the Northwest generated a great deal of significance with Liao, Jin Song, Xixia from the production and impact of salt.
