The Study On Efficency Of China’s Culture Industry And Its Influencing Factors

This paper use CCA-DEA method to measure the efficiency standards of culture industry in China without the disturbing from the correlation of indexes and studies the influencing factor in culture industry. The paper also provides theoretical support to the government when it is formulating policies to promote the development of cultural industry.This paper selects total output value of culture industry as output indicator, practitioners of the cultural industry, cultural industry investment in fixed assets, government’s financial support as input indicators. After measures the2005-2010efficiency level of China’s14provincial-level administrative regions with CCA-DEA method, we find out that the technical efficiency of the14provincial-level administrative regions is low and it is caused by low pure technical efficiency and low scale efficiency. The paper also compares cultural industry efficiency in coastal areas and inland areas. The cultural industry technical efficiency in costal areas is better than inland areas. The gap is cause by the difference in scale efficiency.Then, the paper studies the factors influencing the efficiency of cultural industry based on the panel data of China’s14provincial-level administrative region and finds out that the level of economic development, the improvement of urban residents’ income is conducive to the efficiency of cultural industry; the financial support from the local government is not conducive to the improvement of the cultural industry efficiency. This article further analysis the differences between factors influencing culture industry in inland areas and costal areas and finds that the differences mainly reflected in three aspects:1. the effect of the economic development level is different,2.the effect of government financial support is different.
